About
Welcome to Ristorante Lunapark Enogastronomico La Giostra, a hidden gem nestled in the picturesque location of Cervia, Italy, on Via S.S. Romea Sud. This charming establishment promises to transport you to a culinary wonderland, blending tradition and innovation in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by a staff eager to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. They are attentive and friendly, making every effort to accommodate guests, including those who speak English. This level of hospitality sets the tone for an enjoyable meal.
The menu is a vibrant tapestry of flavors, showcasing the best of local cuisine with a strong emphasis on fresh seafood and inventive dishes. Many guests have raved about the unmatched quality of the fish offerings, which are said to be superbly prepared. One delighted diner described their experience as “amazing” and couldn't get enough, particularly praising the excellent fish dishes.
However, feedback isn’t solely tiptoeing around perfection. Some diners pointed out areas for improvement, such as seasoning, which may vary from dish to dish. The fried mix, for instance, is noted for its generous portions bursting with seasonal vegetables and seafood but may not always capture the depth of flavor diners expect.
Among the standout dishes, the Tagliata garners attention for its prime cut of meat, although some patrons have noted the doneness can lean toward the rarer side than preferred. Side dishes, such as the oven-baked potatoes, have drawn acclaim, yet items like cold spinach have disappointed. The nuances of seasoning could indeed elevate the experience further, turning good into unforgettable.
As diners sip local beers served in wine glasses—a quirky tradition noted by guests—there's a relaxed atmosphere enveloping the space. The sunset view, combined with a hearty aperitif under the open sky, enhances the overall ambiance. The dessert, particularly the cheesecake, has left spin-off remarks of being "to die for," embodying a perfect closure to the meal.
In summary, Ristorante Lunapark Enogastronomico La Giostra offers a remarkable dining experience filled with potential. It stands out for its dedicated service and beautiful location, yet like any developing culinary venue, it has room for growth in its flavor profiles. With a bit more focus on seasoning, it could easily shift from a delightful visit to a must-visit culinary destination for locals and travelers alike.
“ Nota di merito ai ragazzi che servivano, molto molto molto gentili e attenti! siamo andati per orario aperitivo, formula 2x1 con spritz o birra sulle saline con vista tramonto. Abbiamo poi proseguito la cena all’esterno in un’altra ala, con giostra di antipasti piu tartare di gambero e tonno e fritto tutto da condividere. Tutto buonissimo e mi ripeto nota di merito al servizio. ”
“ We end up at this restaurant accidentally. Very positive first impressions of the location and the stuff. We spoke English and they send us immediately a waiter that could understand us. I would love to try their wines but I had to drive that's why I have ordered a bier. They had just one brand! A local one. They even told me that is some kind of "tradition" to drink bier in a wine glass because they did have any bier glasses... Whatever.... My son ordered a fried mix, my daughter chicken breast and me a Tagliata. The fried mix was an impressively big dish with a lot of vegetables and seafood :-) . The chicken breast was cooked Sous - Vide but without finishing it in a pan or grill to give it this fine roasted flavour :-(. My Tagliata was more rare than medium, but I could live with it. It was poor seasoned as the sides too. I had Potatoes Al forno an some spinach. Potatoes were really good but spinach was a real disappointment. Cold as ice and no seasoning at all, like Hospital menu, really. I general think the cook can do better, he needs to concentrate more at the taste than at the presentation. That's why only 3 stars :-( ”
“ AMAZING CULINARY EXPERIENCE..haven't had such a mouthwatering menu in ages. All fish dishes were excellent. Wonderful location, very friendly staff, easy going atmosphere..good wine choices, would love to eat here every night. Cheesecake was to die for, creamy and cheesy.. ”
